Study at Canadian Universities: PSU's Canadian Studies Program participates in the National Student
Exchange Program, which permits students from PSU to study at five Canadian universities: Simon Fraser, the University College of Cape Breton Island, the University of Northern British Colombia, the University of Regina, and the Universite de Sherbrooke. The Exchange Program includes tuition exchange agreements and ensures that financial aid is portable.
The Canada America Society of Washington Study Abroad Scholarships

The CAS, in collaboration with the Canadian Consulate General Seattle and Pacific Northwest Canadian Studies Consortium, announce the 2005 competition for the 'CAS Study-Abroad (in Canada) Scholarships'
Supporters: TransCanada, Fairmont Hotels, Holland America, Westin Bayshore Resort, Delta Hotels
These scholarships will be awarded to American undergraduate students enrolled at universities that are members of the PNWCSC in Washington, Idaho and Oregon. Students must be pursuing their Bachelor of Arts or Science degree and wish to spend a minimum of one semester/term/quarter studying abroad. The student must attend a Canadian university. Any four-year Canadian university (www.studyincanada.com) may be attended, but preference will be given to applicants accepted to attend a university in Alberta or British Columbia.
Five (5) scholarships of $3,000.00 USD will be awarded for the cademic year.
Application Process:
- Completed application.
- Personal statement.
- Copy of transcript.
- Two letters of recommendation.
- Two copies of the above submitted by 1 June
Applications are due no later than 1 June and are good for use during the July - June academic year.
Successful candidates will be notified by 1 July. Upon receipt of 'Proof of Admission' and enrollment a check for $1,500.00 will be sent payable to the student. Upon successful completion of the semester/term/quarter a second check for $1,500 payable to the student will be distributed.
